 We're using high-backed

At the front of the
transmission tunnel is another of Patrick's little detail tweaks - a U-shaped
bracket attached to the top surface, to which the lower part of the dash can be
securely fastened. "This bracket is easily fabricated," said Patrick, "and adds
to the overall feeling of quality.
"Incidentally, whether you stick the
floor carpet down or not is up to you. It's nice to be able to take it out and
dry it if it gets wet - but do make sure it is well secured under the pedals.
If it starts moving about under you're feet, it can be very
dangerous."
Then the seats go in, each mounted at the rear into two
holes in the rear 'L' section crossmember and, at the front, with two bolts and
spacer tubes. "They must be bolted right to the chassis members - metal to
metal," Patrick stressed. "That's an SVA requirement." |
